A couple of good thoughts and ideas from a couple of the things I read in the morning.
- I am a Buffalo Bills fan and if you have seen the news you know that Keith Everett a Buffalo Bill tight end had a serious spinal injury. It originally looked like he was going to be paralyzed but now they say it is looking better. There is an article in the Buffalo News about Mike Utley a football player who was paralyzed in the mid-90's. The article is worth a read. My take aways from the article are:
He’s a source of hope for Kevin Everett as he attempts to tackle the biggest challenge of his life. He’s evidence that a man’s body breaking down means nothing if it leads to strengthening his soul.
- “There are two kinds of people with spinal-cord injuries, those who are waiting for a cure and those who are living for one,” Utley said Tuesday from his home in Washington State. “I’ll live for a cure every single day until I’m 6 feet under. I’ll live for today, and I’ll prepare for tomorrow.”
- From Seth Godin's Blog he had a post about Big Ideas. A reader wrote into him asking why he shared so many of his ideas with people because the reader thought that some of his ideas are really good. His answer is: IDEAS ARE EASY, DOING THINGS ARE HARD.
