Chris Drury is the captain for the Buffalo Sabres. There is a great article about him in SI this past week.
It talks about he has been a winner since he was little even though he is not the most skilled player on the ice and what a great leader he is. The article describes him as one of the greatest clutch players in all of sports.
What makes a winner?
- Hard work
These are a few of the things but it is really hard to explain and put it into words.
Lets start with the most underrated component of winners:
- Never feel sorry for themselves
- "I would never say I am good enough. There's not time enough in the day for me to work on stuff I need to work on."
- He does the little things
Chris has won at every level that he has played. I am excited about the opportunity that I have to watch him try and help Buffalo bring home the cup.
